Firstly I would like to say thank you to everybody for attending this magnificent wedding. I would like to say a few quick thank-you messages, firstly to all who have helped to make this day run as smoothly as it has. It couldn’t have happened without your help. Secondly to the caterers, the bar staff and the vicar and church staff. You have all done and are still doing a great job. Thank you.

I first met- (In this part you should say how you first met the bride. How you have grown up with her and a few of the good times that you have had could be pointed out. Emphasise what kind of person she is, caring, etc.)

Like most men, they come and go. But when I first heard about (the groom’s name) something inside me clicked and I knew that this was more than your every day relationship. (Some of the people in attendance won’t know how the couple got together, so inform them, in detail but without being too over the top. And also say from what you have seen how you think they are suited and what makes them a great couple in your eyes.)

I would like to finish with a few thank you messages that I have been asked by the bride to say, on the chance that she forgot. Firstly to all the bridesmaids. For being so brilliant and looking amazing. Secondly to the parents of both the bride and groom for all the moral and financial support you have given over the years.

And finally a toast.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am sure you will agree that the bride looks absolutely amazing, an image of beauty. And the groom, her knight in shining armour.
