Here is a template showing a bumblebee on a flower. Bumblebees are social insects that are characterised by black and yellow body hairs, often in stripy bands. Like their relatives the honey bees, bumblebees feed on nectar and gather pollen to feed their young in beehive colonies and make honeycomb.
Bumblebee colonies are also used for agricultural purposes for pollinating blackcurrants and other crops that need to flower. They are also often used in greenhouse tomato production, because the frequency of their buzzing effectively releases tomato pollen. Queen and worker bumblebees can sting. Unlike a honey bee’s stinger, a bumblebee’s stinger lacks barbs, so they can sting more than once. A final bumblebee fact is that bees beat their wings approximately 200 times a second during flight.
This template could be used for presentations on gardening, summer, nature, animals, flowers or flying.
